Still know where your scissors are? ✂️
Take a second between workshops and tell us your favorite moment from the live day so far.
It can be something you learned, something you made, something that made you laugh, or one of those little moments when an idea suddenly CLICKED.
Before we dive too far into our live day:
What is ONE thing you want to take away from today?
Maybe there's a technique you want to learn, an Muse you can't wait to create with, a project you want to start, a question you want answered, or maybe you simply want a day to sit down and CREATE.
No giant goals required.
Sometimes the best thing we can take away from a creative day is the feeling that we actually gave ourselves one. 🎨🖌️🖍️💖
I'm actually excited aobut the zines!! I've made bigger ones but not tiny ones. :)
I've pulled the 4 winners of the Magic of WaterColor Printable Papers for today:

Congrats!!
Here's my completed Bingo Card, at least as complete as I had time to do. I have to remember to take off work next year! I use the black and white cats as ephemera to mark off my squares.
Be sure to turn in your card on the link above, and I looooove this so much
My granddaughter has taken over but this is usually my space
My space Is all over the house! Yikes.
Show us something!
It doesn't have to be finished.
Actually, we'd LOVE to see the unfinished stuff too.
Show us a page, a journal📔, something you tried, a pile of pieces 📑 waiting to become something, or even the creative disaster currently occupying your desk.
Part of Autumn Muse 🔮 is seeing where everyone takes the ideas being shared.
So drop a picture 🖼️ in the comments and let us peek at what you've been up to!
This is the journal I started for the Blue Bird Rose Mysteries by my Porch Prints. I started it last week and have been scouring your videos for creative additions to it.
We have a very serious Autumn Muse question.
What craft or journal supply can you absolutely NOT resist? 🎨🖌️
Paper? Washi? Stickers? Old books? Fabric? Stamps? Pens? Ephemera?
Maybe you already own enough of it to last approximately 147 years but continue buying it because THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT.
We understand.
This is a judgment-free research study. 😂
Lately, journal papers and ephemera
What has inspired you the most so far?
Maybe it's a technique from one of the workshops, a freebie you already have plans for, something another journaler shared in the group, or an idea that popped into your head while you were watching.
And if one idea turned into six completely unrelated project ideas...🎨
Welcome. You are among your people.
1) seeing how easy it is to attach signature pages…2). ALSO Love the texture paste.
My cozy workspace in my Studio Apartment! 🙂
This does lookl cozy! Love it!

A few tasteful scraps beside your journal?
Or did a paper-and-ephemera tornado touch down somewhere between the first session and now?
My supplies are ready!

Hi there, I am new here and looking forward to this experience!
Thank you for joining us!
🌙✨ Monique, the Misfit Crafter, and the rest of Misfit Team, want to welcome all of our new magic making souls!!! You’ve just stepped through the studio door into a world where scraps become stories, ideas become adventures, and every creative heart is celebrated exactly as it is.
In this little corner of the universe, we believe in: 🧵 the magic of making 📜 the poetry of paper 🎨 the joy of messy hands 💛 and the comfort of creating together.
Settle in and let your imagination stretch its wings. Your creative spark belongs here — and we can’t wait to see what you dream up next. ✨🕊️
✨We would love to get to know you better! Feel free to introduce yourself!
I am A 78 y.o. widow, that doesn't always remember that I have a 78 y.o. body. I do things with my hands other than paper drafts. I (try to) paint on canvas, I manage a community garden that is one and one-half lot with raised beds, community beds, compost bins, etc., I do all my own yard work when it's not 1000 degrees outside. I do some DIY that is not limited to painting walls, wall papering walls, cleaning, and I DO NOT COOK. I retired once then started again and I have officially retired. It's only me and I find salads are just perfect for my meals. I have a house next door to my house that is my "Studio." Tons of art supplies and scrapbook items are stored there. It is under DIY construction, but, I also have a place to scrap, jj, make cards, etc. at my house house. I have been getting everything in order for my children (58 and 56) when I die. I don't want them to have to deal with all my stuff. That's my life, very busy, also volunteer at a Food Pantry and i belong to and attend church and Bible study. All in all, my health is very good and I have no diseases to cope with, just over use of my hands and back have slowed me considerably. But, I am off to do something fun. Looking forward to the Muse
Clear Skies with a Soft Glow of Gratitude
As the retreat draws to a close, the skies open into a peaceful clarity. The creative winds settle, leaving behind a warm, steady hum of connection and accomplishment. A gentle aurora of gratitude shimmers overhead — for the stories shared, the pages filled, the courage shown, and the magic made.
Creative Advisory: Let yourself savor the fullness of this moment before stepping back into the wider world.
What piece of this week feels like a gift you didn’t expect to receive?
Inspiration to keep going, try new things, to not give up on my art or myself. :)
Localized Whirlwinds of Creative Mischief
Small but mighty pockets of high‑energy making have been detected around worktables, supply carts, and anywhere scraps are piling up. These micro‑storms may cause sudden bursts of layering, unexpected collage combinations, and spontaneous “look what I just did!” exclamations.
Humidity is high in the “permission to make a mess” zone, and visibility may be reduced due to drifting ephemera.
Studio Advisory: Proceed with curiosity. Side effects may include joyful chaos and accidental brilliance.
What tiny experiment feels safe enough to try but mischievous enough to thrill you?
Turning PDFs into PNGs so I can cut on Cricut rather by hand. Learned a few tricks to make it easier thanks to our AAJJR group.
Breezy with Bursts of Brave Making
A confident creative wind is sweeping through the studio today, carrying scraps, threads, and bold ideas in every direction. Expect sudden gusts of “I’m just going to try it” followed by pockets of peaceful, grounded making.
Skies are mostly clear, revealing bright patches of gratitude and connection.
Creative Advisory: Perfect conditions for finishing touches, tiny stories, and savoring the last bits of magic.
What moment are you hoping to capture today?
I was glad I was able to watch the end of the Atrisan Pass even though I cannot craft along. Will look forward to finishing projects in 2 weeks.
A Gentle Fog of Fulfillment
After a day of serendipitous making, a cozy creative fog rolls in — the kind that softens edges and invites you to linger in the afterglow. Expect pockets of quiet pride, mixed with a few drifting thoughts about tomorrow’s possibilities. The atmosphere is rich with shared laughter, unspoken understanding, and the comfort of being surrounded by fellow makers.
Creative Advisory: Perfect conditions for slow unwinding and tender self‑celebration.
What did you notice about someone else’s creativity today that inspired or delighted you?
I was going to jump in and watch even if I couldn;t gather the materials, but I'm just not up to it today. Even skipped out on my PT. Have fun everyone and I will catch the recording later--Amy
Hope you feel better soon!
Lively with Surges of Shared Energy
With live sessions in full swing, the atmosphere is buzzing. A warm communal current is flowing through the space, amplifying courage, connection, and collective creativity.
Expect rising excitement as ideas bounce between makers, with occasional heatwaves of “let’s try it together.” Small clusters of focused calm may appear between sessions — perfect for jotting tiny stories, adding finishing touches, or simply breathing in the moment.
Studio Advisory: Let the shared momentum carry you, but honor the quiet pockets when they appear. Both are part of today’s magic?
What moment of shared energy today made you feel part of something bigger than your own page?
Monique's lives today was an AH HA moment for me. Learning how to use my all in one tool. And just learning to creae new things. It is very inspiring.
Soft Showers of Serendipity
Overnight, a dreamy layer of mixed‑media mist settled across the retreat, creating perfect conditions for unexpected magic. Tiny ideas may fall gently throughout the day — collect them as they land.
Humidity is high in the “permission to play” zone, with occasional thunderclaps of “oh wow, that turned out better than I thought.”
Creative Advisory: Chance of emotional breakthroughs increases after your second cup of coffee.
What texture, color, or material is calling to you this morning?
A lot of distressed ink
Calm Skies with Lingering Sparks
As the studio lights dim, a quiet glow settles over the retreat. The day’s glitter has drifted into a soft constellation of tiny victories and half‑finished ideas waiting patiently for tomorrow. A low, steady breeze of satisfaction moves through the room, carrying the scent of paper, ink, and new beginnings.
Creative Advisory: Let your hands rest; let your mind wander; let your heart stay open.
What moment today made you feel most “in the retreat” — like you’d truly arrived?
Once I got myself organized and ready to start crafting. Had a few hiccups, but once I got rolling things started to fall into place.
Brightening with Increasing Creative Momentum
As we move into the heart of Day 1, a warm swell of inspiration is rising across the retreat. Early‑morning glitter has officially settled into a steady shimmer, and scattered bursts of “I think I’m onto something” are being reported in all corners of the studio.
Expect a gentle uptick in playful experimentation as the afternoon approaches, with occasional gusts of bold color choices.
Studio Advisory: Hydrate, stretch, and follow whatever idea is tugging at your sleeve.
What’s one tiny shift you could make right now that might open a new creative doorway?
Don’t stress so much on perfection. Play with different colors, materials, and think outside the box. It is ok if things looks “messy.”
If anyone is having issues watching a video, make sure your logged in to the retreat account
Thank you!
Warm with a Chance of Paint
A gentle front of creative courage is rolling in from the east, bringing scattered bursts of “ohhh I love this already.” Expect rising temperatures of inspiration by mid‑morning, with a 92% chance you’ll get paint on your sleeves.
Winds are light and playful, carrying the faint scent of vintage paper and possibility.
Creative Advisory: Keep your heart open and your glue stick within reach.
What tiny creative risk are you willing to take today?
My goal was to craft along all of the presentations today, but time got the best of me. I did finish your project. Prepared for Einat and Consie’s projects.
tonight was fun, thanks
You are very welcome! Thank you for participating!
Started my journal by making 4 pages using a 6x6 paper pad and coordinating tidbits I have stored in bead boxes over the years. YaY !!!
