I was trying to attach my signatures in a simple way for now but the knot kept slipping. Then it came to me... binder clips! (I happened to have a couple sitting on my desk.) When attempting to tie elastic string to hold your signature without it being too loose, use a binder clip. It will hold it taut while you tie the tails into a bow.

My workspace is large because it used to be our garage, but I've got it so full of craft stuff that it's a crowded mess! I've created a nook for my papers, computer/desk to craft on, and another desk (was my grandmothers) behind me for my cricut and cutter. The second pic shows the messy craft room behind my nook. To the side out of view are large bookshleves and another little storage nook with cabinets (for mostly sewing).

Some of the projects I was able to at least start from yesterday inbetween stuff! A few modifications on some. Working with what I have!

Actually I had two today!

The first was during Shellye's session when she used felt to line the spine, under the fabric. All these years I've been using quilt batting under fabric. Felt seems like a much less expensive, but equally sturdy alternative!

The second was when I was watching Lydia's session on journal capsules. Wow! What a great idea! I'm already putting together a capsule for October. :)

My wife and I dealt with a stressful move this summer. We were living in place with a lot of mold and landlords that didn't care. I already have autoimmune illnesses so it was making me very sick. Since moving my breathing capacity and my overall health has improved so much! We are so lucky to have such a beautiful space to create in. Just a couple of weeks ago this space was piles of boxes. So, even though it is not perfect yet - I have white walls that desperately need art on them, I am so thrilled with our new space. I am also so lucky to be married to my very crafty wife. Instead of making a whole new journal, I decided to use one I made last year. I cut the pages of the guide in half (sometimes a little more than that) so I could attach them to pages already in the journal. Since I've already got lots of room for journaling and note taking, I didn't include all the papers Michelle gave us. I did print them out so I can use them if I want. Here's how it looks so far:

Thank you Consie for this technique. I loved playing with my limited set of Crayola water colors (leftover from a retired teacher friend).

Have made something like this before with copy paper. It was a little bit of a challenge folding cardstock, but I really like how it came out. Not enough acrylic paints to doodle, so used some digital paper instead. AND finally got to use the washi tape that I got at a garage sale last year.

Started out slow this morning & think I will wait until humidity isn't so high to work with cardstock.
